About Koh Kood

Nothing fills your wanderlust soul more than exploring new places. This time I had the pleasure to visit Koh Kood (Koh Kut), an island close to the border of Cambodia. Although I had visited the island of Koh Chang before I had never tried some of it's surrounding islands.

With a 90 minutes speed boat ride from the Kai Bea pier straight to your hotel on the island. We paid around 900 bath for a one way trip, but you can also opt for a slow boat which will cost you about half 350 to 600 bath. The boat driver dropped us off at the Shantaa resort which turned out to be the perfect paradise for a few day of absolute bliss.

Remember if you are looking for night life or partying this is not the island for you. Koh Kood is a popular place for package tourists and families and for those who are looking for absolute zen time. Now I could tell you about the waterfalls to visit, the fishing village or the Khao Rearub cave, but then I would be lying cause we opted for the doing-absolutely-nothing-mode!

Yes shame on me, but I have to admit I did not even leave the resort. Spending 3 days at the beach, watching the sea and the beautiful sunsets, finishing 3 books on my Kindle…well I could not be happier. So if you are opting for absolute bliss try Koh Kood. You will not be disappointed!

A place to visit! Koh Kood!

Travel & explore!
